The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal service organization. Founded by Michael J. McGivney in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1882. There are over 15,000 councils and 1.9 million members throughout the world. Membership is limited to practicing Catholic men aged 18 or older.
We promote the core principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism through our local council, which has a strong relationship with St. Matthias Catholic Church in Crown Point, Indiana. Our meetings are held monthly at St. Matthias Parish.

What does artificial intelligence mean for our families, our jobs, and our future? Join us for a thought-provoking Knight’s Lecture exploring Artificial Intelligence: Threat, Tool, or Tomorrow? We’ll take a clear, practical look at what AI is, how it is already changing our daily lives, and what opportunities—and challenges—it may bring.
Most importantly, we’ll look at these questions through the lens of our Catholic values of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism, and consider how we can use this powerful technology responsibly while keeping people, families, faith, and the common good at the center.
Come curious. Bring your questions. Leave with a better understanding of AI and what it means for all of us. This is a free lecture courtesy of the St. Matthias Knights of Columbus.
Men's Bible Study
Starts: October 26th at 6pm
Join your fellow Catholic men for a four-week journey of faith, Scripture, and fellowship. Together, we’ll explore the Bible through prayer, meaningful conversation, and real-life experiences, guided by the Knights of Columbus principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. We’ll reflect on how our faith shapes the way we live at home, serve our parish, support our families, and make a difference in our community. This is an opportunity to deepen your faith, ask questions, share your experiences, and build friendships with other Catholic men. All practicing Catholic men age 18 and older are welcome. Come as you are, bring your Bible and your questions, and join the conversation. This free event is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. Moderated by Deacon Brad.
Join our mowing team! We generally mow on Wednesday mornings. With a 4 person team we can finish in 2 hours! All church members over 18 y/o can join our team.
In an effort to increase our faith, I am starting an attend mass with the Knights on Wednesdays at 5:30 PM. Those interested in going out to dinner afterwards can meet at the end of mass.

Glorious St. Joseph, model of all those who are devoted to labor, obtain for me the grace to work in a spirit of penance for the expiation of my many sins; to work conscientiously, putting the call of duty above my inclinations; to work with gratitude and joy, considering it an honor to employ and develop, by means of labor, the gifts received from God; to work with order, peace, moderation and patience, without ever recoiling before weariness or difficulties; to work, above all, with purity of intention, and with detachment from self, having always death before my eyes and the account which I must render of time lost, of talents wasted, of good omitted, of vain complacency in success, so fatal to the work of God.
